I was pleasantly surprised after a friend gave it to me. It looks cool, more like a cd player with a clock/radio/alarm, having a large footprint (6" x 8"). It's a little more complicated to figure out without the instructions, but I figured it out after spending some time with it to find all the buttons and playing with them. The display is on the smaller side compared to the size of the unit, so you can't see the time from far, but the brightness can be adjusted from the back from low (very dull), to mid (my choice), or hi (the brightest setting which is like a dull night light and enables you to really see the digits). The speaker sound is very clear and strong at high volumes making it a good CD/radio player. There are two alarms which equally offer many options: buzzer, radio, or cd, digital dialing, digital volume control; the buzzer gradually gets louder; the cd function offers a choice of a wakeup track and will continue to play according to your mode of continuous, shuffle, or repeat one or all. There is even a "nap" button ("sleep") to play your choice of music for limited lengths of time. The display shows the time in the middle boldly, with Alarm A settings to the left of it (if it's "on") and Alarm B settings to the right of it (if it's "on"). The snooze button is a wide button on the bottom that's easy to find even with your eyes almost shut. The first two alarm snoozes last for 10 minutes each, and each progressive ones add 5 minutes to the time until you shut off the alarm. It's also very very nice to gradually wake up to your music instead of hitting the snooze button constantly. You can set your options with this model to make it work pleasantly for you.
